Hybrid working comes to Choice Places

From 3rd May 2023 Choice Places will be trialling a new pattern of office opening. Starting in May, the office at Central Avenue will be open 4 days per week – Monday and Tuesday, then Thursday and Friday opening its normal hours.

For the duration of the six-month trial the office will be closed every Wednesday and staff will pilot a new hybrid working pattern, either based on site or at home for this day. Full services will be available on each Wednesday, and it’ll be business as usual except that staff will not work out of the office.

We want to trial innovative ways of working during this pilot, look to improve our digital communications, find what cost savings can be made and generally review service delivery and the well-being of staff.

You, our customers, will have a key role to play in whether we change our office opening beyond the term of the pilot. We’ll be asking how you find service on the Wednesday, how quickly calls have been answered and how easy you’ve found it getting through to us, etc.

We are inviting owners to express an interest in joining our customer panel. The panel will give owners the opportunity to examine and challenge the way we deliver our services.

Panel members will play an important role in bringing about positive changes to services. The panel will be responsible for examining and scrutinising different areas of the service. The role is varied and will involve taking part in team discussions, analysing performance information and challenging how we can improve.

Alternatively or in addition, we are also interested in setting up a ‘virtual’ group where a small group of owners will be asked to comment on new policies and procedures, changes to policies and procedures, owner publications and general consultations via email or social media threads.

If you would be interested in becoming a member of either the Customer Panel or the ‘Virtual’ group please let us know.

Owners’ portal up and running!

Remember to those of you who haven’t signed up yet , the myPlace app will give you access to your own payment account, and an ability to log repairs or landscaping issues and generally manage all aspects of your account – via phone, tablet or computer, 24/7.

The portal also has its own app which is compatible with both Android and iOS devices, so you can access your my Place account on the go. It’s already available via the App Store and Play Store – just type in myPlace from Choice Places to download it.You can set up your account via our website (select the MyPlace button, and then “Create an Account”) or via the app (select “Create an Account”) once you’ve downloaded it.

You’ll be asked for your name and home address, along with your email address and phone number, and we’ll use these to set up your account. Our staff will run some security checks and if everything is in order, will create the account and send you your username and password. After that, you’re good to go!
